2017 Miami ARCHMARATHON AWARDS – Open Call for projects

ARCHMARATHON AWARDS, the international architecture Award created by Publicomm is back from the 12th to the 14th of October 2017 with a special edition to be held in Miami. ARCHMARATHON AWARDS 2017 is dedicated to architectural studios currently active in the USA, Canada and Central and Latin America.

42 Design Studios will be selected by a prestigious jury and invited to present their project to a large audience of architects, developers and designers from all over the world.

Entering is easy: just send you own project created between January 2016 and October 2017 by uploading it at the following link: www.archmarathon.com/en/archmarathon-2017-project-submission-2/

The open call is active from the 1st to the 30th June 2017.
The call is open only and exclusively to architectural studios coming from and with offices in Canada, the USA and Central and Latin America. The projects must also be located within this geographical area.

The 8 categories are subdivided as follows:

Infrastructure & Transportation \ Landscape & Open Spaces

Interior Design of Private Housing \ Architecture of Private Housing \ Residential Buildings

Art & Culture \ Education Buildings \ Civic & Community Architecture

Office Interior Design \ Office Architecture

Bars & Restaurants \ Hotel & Leisure \ Commercial & Retail

Sport Centers \ Healthcare Centers \ Spa & Wellness Centers

Future Building \ Urban Planning

Retrofitting & Refurbishment

Of the 42 projects, 21 will be selected from the open call, while the other 21 will be selected directly by the jury made up of: Luca Molinari (Chair judge for ARCHMARATHON), David Basulto and David Assael (Founders of Archdaily and Plataforma Arquitectura) and Francisco Pardo (Architect and Visiting Professor at SCI_Arc).
The 42 finalists will be invited to spend 3 days at the Faena Hotel at Miami Beach and to present their own projects at the Faena Forum, a space designed by OMA and opened last December to mark Artbasel 2016
